According to the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity, implicit bias is defined as "The attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner."   

WVHRA is pleased to welcome facilitators Naeemah Jackson and Alena Finnell with Peace Learning Center to provide an overview of implicit bias.  Participants will be introduced to the concept of implicit bias and the effects and impact on their daily lives. 

Peace Learning Center is located in Indianapolis' Eagle Creek Park and has been working to reduce violence and increase kindness in the community since 1997.
