By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify workplace warning signs of employees experiencing mental health distress or potential suicide risk.
  2. Differentiate between performance issues and potential mental health crises, and respond appropriately.
  3. Demonstrate the core components of QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) as an evidence-based suicide prevention intervention strategy.
  4. Apply practical conversation techniques to confidently ask direct questions about suicide in a professional workplace setting.
  5. Outline appropriate referral pathways and internal protocols for supporting employees in crisis while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
  6. Evaluate current workplace policies and resources to determine alignment with best practices in mental health awareness and crisis response.
  7. Develop actionable strategies to integrate suicide prevention awareness into employee engagement, training, and wellness initiatives.
